Walnut and Maple Syrup Flapjack
McDougalls flapjack with walnuts and maple syrup

- 1500g McDougalls Flapjack mix
- 120ml Cold water
- 150g Walnuts(chopped)
- 6tbls Maple syrup
- Place the McDougalls Flapjack mix into a mixing bowl fitted with a beater add the water, walnuts and half of the maple syrup and mix on SLOW speed for 15 seconds until the mix is moist.
- Press lightly into a 25cmx35cm(10x14) lined baking tray and bake at 170c/325f/Gasmark 3 for 30minutes until the edges are just starting to brown. Drizzle with the remaining maple syrup and cut into portions whilst the flapjack is still warm in the baking tray
Substitute the Walnuts for Hazelnuts and the Maple syrup for Hazelnut syrup for an equally tasty snack
Sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds or dates can be used instead of nuts.
