Savoy Potatoes

A warming savoury potato with a hint of cheese

  • 2000g Potatoes - peeled & thinly sliced
  • 600g Onions - sliced
  • 1000ml Boiling Water
  • 25g Bisto Chicken Bouillon Paste
  • 225g Cheddar Cheese - grated
  • 40g Butter


  1. Layer the potatoes, onions and cheese into an oven proof dish and season well
  2. Dissolve the bouillon paste in the boiling water and our over the potatoes. Dot with the butter. Cover with foil.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 190C/375F/Gas Mark 5 for 40 minutes, until the are tender and lightly browned. potatoes

Ring the changes on this classic dish by substituting Stilton for Chedder cheese
