Creamy Tomato & Tuna Pasta

Ingredients

  • 450g Canned Tuna Fish (Drained)
  • 1000g Homepride Creamy Tomato Sauce
  • 250g  Pasta,Cooked And Refreshed
  • 1Q Red Pepper, Diced
  • 200g Canned Sweetcorn, Drained
  • 25g Cheese, Grated

Method

  1. Combine Tuna and Homepride Creamy Tomato Sauce in a large bowl.
  2. Add the pasta, red pepper, sweetcorn and mix well.
  3. Tip into serving dish and sprinkle with the cheese.
  4. Bake at Gas Mark 200°C/400°F/Gas Mark 6, or until the top is golden and crispy.

 

Tips

As an alternative this dish can be heated through in a pan. Additional vegetables can be added such as broccoli or peas.

Beef Cannelloni

Ingredients

  • 1tbls Vegetable oil
  • 225g Onion, finely diced
  • 2 Cloves garlic, peeled and chopped very finely
  • 900g Lean minced beef
  • 100g Green pesto
  • 20 Cannelloni tubes
  • 500g Homepride Creamy Tomato Sauce
  • 100g Mozzarella cheese, grated

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a pan, add the onion and garlic, cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
  2. Add the mince, increase the heat and fry until lightly browned. Stir in the Green Pesto and cook until the mixture has reduced slightly and driven off most of the moisture. Drain off any excess oil.
  3. Stuff the meat mixture into the cannelloni tubes and place into greased oven-proof dish. Pour over the Homepride Creamy Tomato Sauce. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4 for 25 minutes

Serve with a crisp green salad

Vegetarian Sausage Traybake

Ingredients

  • 500g McDougalls Soft Bap Mix
  • 325ml warm water
  • 1000g Homepride Tomato and Basil Sauce
  • 16 Vegetarian Sausages, defrosted

Method

  1. Place the McDougalls Soft Bap Mix in a mixer fitter with a dough hook. Blend in the warm water and mix on a medium speed for 8 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough to a rectangle 25cm x 35cm (10 x 14) and place in a greased tin of the same size.
  3. Stir the Vegetarian sausages into the Homepride Tomato and Basil Sauce in a large bowl.
  4. Mix well to coat.
  5. Place the sausages in 2 rows of 8, onto the dough ensuring that they are evenly spaced.
  6. Press the sausages into the dough slightly. Brush any of the sauce that is remaining in the bowl over the sausages and the dough and ensure an even coating.
  7. Leave to rise in a warm place for 15 - 25 minutes, until the dough has risen well around the sausages.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven 200°C/ 375°F/ Gas Mark 5. Cut the bread in between the sausages and serve.
