LACA – The Main Event
With this year’s LACA ‘The Main Event’ just around the corner, we’re delighted to congratulate LACA chairman Anne Bull on winning Public Sector Caterer of the year at the 2013 Catey Awards.
The Catey Awards have cast a spotlight on the industry’s high flyers, strongest performers and top brands since its launch in 1984. A deserved winner, it is fantastic to see Anne’s hard work in the industry acknowledged at such a prestigious event. As a long standing LACA member and head of catering and school facilities services at Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, where she is responsible for 21,000 meals a day and a turnover of £15m a year, Anne was appointed LACA chairman in 2012. A passionate believer in the school meals service, Anne’s main aim is to ensure it continues to improve the health and well-being of children and young people.
Visit us at LACA ‘The Main Event’
We’re looking forward to welcoming Anne, along with all the other attendees, to the ‘The Main Event’, visitors may feel like they have stepped into a magical wonderland as they experience the best in British food from Premier Foods at our themed areas at the Education Catering Exhibition. The Arden Suite will be transformed into Pudding Lane whilst the main stand (L7 and L8) will become Baker Street.
What better way to showcase the heritage and provenance of our iconic and trusted British brands, than send delegates on a trip down memory lane. In The Arden Suite – or as we have dubbed it this year, Pudding Lane – delegates will be invited to experience some of the magic associated with education favourites including Ambrosia, Bird’s and Angel Delight. Visitors will have a chance to take part in competitions, sample our products, as well as pick up recipe ideas from our team of passionate home economists. We’ll also be launching the biggest ever foodservice give-away for Ambrosia.
As well as the sweet treats on offer at Pudding Lane in the Arden Suite, for those seeking savoury inspiration, visitors to the Premier Foods main stand will experience the mouth-watering aroma of freshly baked goods at ‘Baker Street’ where McDougalls will be unveiling some exciting news for the education sector.
We look forward to seeing you there!
